laatste update: 16 april 2020

Temporary delays in publications

Hello everyone,

During the unprecedented  COVID-19 situation, we are taking steps to protect the health of our team members and reduce the need for people to come into our offices worldwide.

As a result, there will be temporary limitations in how you can contribute as Street View trusted photographers. Any imagery recently uploaded may experience temporary delays in publication.  Learn more about the temporary product changes in Google Maps here.

Thank you to our entire community for your patience. We’ll be sure to provide further updates to you all here on the Street View News board.

Regards,

The Street View trusted team

Hey Google, please help professional Street View photographers to do business again!

Hey Google,

I understand you are also dealing with COVID-19, as we all do.

But also before, there were many problems for us, professional photographers, with uploading our tours to Google Street View.

I have a suggestion. Trust the professional photographers. Let us upload. Because we know what we are doing. We use professional software (like Pano2VR Pro). We use professional equipment to create high quality content. We promote Google to the companies that buy ads from you. We are the face of Google. (Many of my clients think I have a connection with real humans within Google, which is unfortunately not the case). Our business depends on a quick and smooth accepting of our tours. We don’t post crap, because that will set us out of business.

It could work very simple. You only have to add a new level of Trusted Photographer, the Trusted Professional Photographer. Everybody can become a Trusted Photographer. Even with the crappiest photos from a phone. They only have to upload 50 of them.

Please give us a Trusted Professional Photographer status, and let us upload directly. And if we mess up, you take away the badge. This saves you a lot of moderation time. And saves us a lot of frustration. We can get back to business and while doing so, we continue promoting Google! It’s a WIN WIN!

I look forward to your reply,

Best regards,
